  This place is in my experience useless and a waste of time I spoke with someone from there a couple times about helping me with my business startup and that is where it ended they didn't do anything including call me back after the initial contact to tell me what they can do. I recommend working on your own or seek out a network outside of this organization they don't seem to really want to help you if you are just in the beginning stages of entrepreneurship with a fixed budget or no budget and only want those that are established with a lot of money in the bank and the majority of the work already done which is really traumatic for those just starting out here.
  
  I find it a bit troubling and frustrating that there is so much rhetoric here in Upper Michigan about how important it is to have businesses here and everything but it seems to me that nothing will be done to help you get started as a business owner, the reality is you are on your own and you will get what you need only after you are in business so that organizations like this and others can ride your coat tails and then say how you are someone that they helped which in my opinion is not only misleading but does an injustice to those like myself who really want to start a business, create jobs, and give to the community especially where I was born and raised.
  
  This organization along with local financial institutions need to step into reality and realize it isn't the same anymore people do not have a bank account loaded with cash and we as entrepreneurs need serious help so either put up or shut up!
